Once Again I Try the Vlog!! LOL

Well good morning everyone! I hope I will keep at this better than the last one or two times I've tried.  I'm going to see how many people read what I said about doing this, and come here, and leave a comment.

I wanted to tell you guys,  that I have found that I don't really enjoy the Anniversary Edition of Skyrim.  Another reason which made me decide just to simply QUIT playing it until ES6  EVER comes out.

Enough about that.  I will be moving over into the "In-Law apartment that is attached to my son's house, I guess by the end of the year.  During this time I might start gradually packing stuff,  here and there,  so it won't be so hard for me later on. I might start with packing all my wonderful little goodies that my wonderful viewers sent me,  that are filling up my two bookshelves.

On to other things.  Today I will probably need to do some cooking, before what food I have in the frig goes bad.  I cook up stuff, put it in several small containers and put it all in the freezer.  I have been too sick with this cold to eat hardly anything and too sick to stand up and cook!  So now that I'm starting to feel like I'm on the mend,  I'd better be working on various things like that.

Oh, something to show you.  I don't know if I have shown this on my YouTube channel or not,  like in a vlog where I usually show gifts, 'cause I bought this bad boy for myself!! I wish I had bought two so I could use them as bookends... which is what it is.

Well.. since this is the start of something 'on going', I believe  I've rambled enough for now,  so I will see you all later...  I PROMISE  (If not then you can all get on me!!)  LOL

Bye..   See 'ya!!...

My husband and I are getting over being sick too. I was able to cook dinner last night but it wiped me out. Here's hoping your appetite returns quickly!

Thank you! We are feeling better. Just not much energy. We are getting our taste for food back which is good. It's more fun to cook when there's an appetite to go with it. I hope you enjoy making something tasty!

  3. Good morning! and great to see this blog!

I recently completed a move and it was a little chaotic. Do you have any life advice/life hacks for making a move go smoothly?

    1. Hi Levertonic!! I have a year to get ready to move, so I'm lucky I guess. I'm going to have plenty of time to get rid of stuff and pack slowly, now and then, ... with boxes sitting here and there!! LOL My advice to movers is always start getting rid of as much useless stuff as possible!! BEFORE the packing starts! LOL

  4. Shirley, so glad to see the new blog going!

I also enjoyed reading about your new book-end and the sweet-rolls you made! Was that from your skyrim cookbook you got, as in the picture? I think I recall you mentioning that in a vlog with viewer gifts before!

Also, are you excited to move to your 'in-law apartment'? I love that name LOL - it's probably thrilling to be going moving closer to your son! Keep us posted also if there's anything we can be praying over as you get closer to moving (or even things to send you if that would be helpful for the process).

Excited to read your next blog sometime! And no worries on quitting skyrim until ES6 comes out! I am right with you!

  9. Hi Shirley,

I was so thrilled to receive a letter back from you the other month. I was going to write you back again, but figured maybe you would prefer this instead πŸ˜€

I'm sorry to hear you're not enjoying the Anniversary Edition of Skyrim - but I can completely understand after waiting so long for ES6. Until recently, I had only ever played Skyrim on Xbox or Nintendo Switch. But now I have it on PC (finally) so I'm getting to enjoy mods for the first time and it's awesome πŸ™ƒ Using you, Inigo and Lucien as followers is a lot of fun.

I'm glad to hear you're getting over your cold and I look forward to more Vlogs, blogs and book readings from you in the future πŸ˜„

    2. I actually recently started watching your very first series (Katamet), and I am absolutely loving it. You are so fun and funny and I just can't get enough.

I took long break from Skyrim so getting back into it now makes everything feel fresh and new.

I know you like reading fantasy books (as do I) - do you have any fantasy book recommendations? I'm always looking for more fantasy books to read!

      Hope all is well.

    3. The fantasy series I recently started re-reading is my all time favorite! I'm reading through it for the 3rd time and each time I do it's longer because the author just keeps on writing!! I have about 37 books now!! The series is: The Legend of Drizzt and is by R. A. Salvatore. (Best fantasy series EVER!!) LOL!
Hope you will enjoy being here!!

  10. Hi Shirley! I am so sorry that you are not liking the Anniversary Edition. It does have some strange glitches at times.
I am very glad that you seem to be feeling a little better today. I've been running around getting ready for my sister to visit from the east coast, this week. She will be here for my Birthday on Friday. I haven't seen her since before Covid so it will be nice to give her a Hug in person. Those sweet rolls look really good and made me hungry! Must be getting close to lunch time here. Looking forward to your Posts. I love the Dragon Head By the way, it's very cool! Hope you get your cooking all done, lol I guess I have food on my mind.

And, Happy Early Birthday, if I'm not around on my computer at that time. It is almost 4 and I haven't even started any cooking so I guess that will wait, AGAIN, until tomorrow LOL

It's great to see the Blog up and hopping again. I've been a mostly silent viewer since the start of Ganci. Emily N Pets was my name on Youtube.
That dragon skull is pretty cool! Love interesting things like that. Once my Husband and I move I am going to fill the house up with all kinds of interesting and unique dΓ©cor. Especially when it comes to Fairies. Don't think he'll mind too much. He like the same kind of stuff.
When I was younger I liked writing and would always come up with stories but could never really write them down. Your stories and have very inspiring and have given me new ideas over the years. I hope to write my own book!
Sorry, I've never written you and don't comment much on videos.
Are there any games you are currently playing just for you? I play so many games I have to rotate them. From cute little Indie games to Cyberpunk I am all over the map. Though I did love watching your horror videos as horror is the one genre I am too chicken to play!

Reading any books? Gonna start up a Stephen King book called Fairytales after I finish this Fairy Fantasy book. Well, I am gonna leave this here and drink my coffee. I hope you have a fantastic day and wish you luck with all the packing!

  14. Ok it too a bit of messing around with my old google login but I'm in! :) This is great. I've been on the internet since the start in the early 90s, and about 20 years ago, this kind of blog was perfect.. I'm sad we moved to more confusing and unnecessary things.. Those who want to keep in touch, will keep in touch, whereever they are.. we just need a small base like this. :)

I'm very much looking forward to this year just being alongside you in your continuing journeys, baba, and I hope to share some fun news of my own on the land I'm tending...

The packing up thing... it's difficult.. I've had to do it many times and it's never easy.. But it's always something to look forward to afterwards with a fresh start and newly organised displays etc. Just try not to throw anything away.. don't let them convince you anything is junk when it's not! :)

Thanks for sharing today and looking forward to the next post! Spring has really sprung now, summer is on its way.. I've been planting random sunflowers and other flowers and herbs and things today around my cottage... Let's enjoy every little thing as much as possible. :)

  20. Hi Grandma! I'm so happy to see your blog today! I hope you are getting better every day.

I was thinking, if you aren't enjoying AE maybe go back to playing the Special Edition instead. Or maybe you just need a break from it, I totally get that way too. Especially when it comes to Elder Scrolls. I love Oblivion but I know every character, quest, landmark, etc. Yes, the nostalgia and love for it is there but I can't commit to a playthrough. I will make a new character, get through the whole Imperial City Sewer part to reach to stunningly beautiful lands of Cyrodiil and I find myself always doing the same thing, sell stuff in the Market District and take off to make some money to buy that little shack just outside the city at the Waterfront. I join guilds and start quests, then I kind of just stop there. I don't know why, maybe I'm sick of it, especially the vanilla version. That's why I am looking forward to Skyblivion, the whole game will be brought up to date and then I think I will play and play!! We shall see I guess!

I'm happy to hear you are moving into an in-laws suite. I live in the same apt building as my sister and it is wonderful to see family any time I wish. The moving part is a big drag but taking your time and doing bits here and there sounds very sensible to me. I always find it exciting figuring out floor plans and the like. I hope you'll be very happy there!

Cooking can be quite laborious depending on what it is you are cooking, I'm not great at it to be honest! I've always been kind of a picky eater, so I guess that's why... :D (The sweet rolls are right up my alley!)

I love that dragon thing, it's super cool! Maybe you'll do a tour of your new place after your all settled in and we can see all of your Skyrim memorabilia on display. All of that stuff is just so neat!

Well, I've rambled on long enough here, haha! I hope you have a great rest of your day and feel back up to snuff soon! much love xox πŸ’œ

    1. Hi there!!!
I get better then have a set-back. Going on way too long!!
Well, I hope your dreams come true about the game!! I'm just at an end, for me. I've played so many different stories and with so many different types of characters over the years, that I'm just tired I guess. And having to wait so long for ES6, then put off some more for a stupid space game, just finished to whole mess for me. I'm tired of waiting.
I think being able to pack now and then until it's time to move will be easier on me. I always love the unpacking and deciding where I want to put things!!
When my family was young I enjoyed cooking, but being by myself for so long I just quit. I now cook once, pack up a bunch of stuff for the freezer in individual servings, then take out what I want.. when I want. When I'm about to run out I have another cooking day. :) I don't use canned food or frozen prepared dinners. Mine is fresh.
Yes, I'll be doing a sort of tour, on here, whenever I get move... that will be near the end of the year.
Thanks for being here and will want to talk to you some more. Hope you will enjoy this Blog!!
      Shirley

    2. Hi Grandma! I sure hope the set-backs are on the way out. It takes me a long time to get over stuff too, I'll cross my fingers and toes for you.
I was really bummed when I realized that Bethesda chose to make that space game before TES 6. I remember reading an interview Todd Howard gave about his ideas for TES 6 and that he said the technology wasn't there yet. I don't know exactly what the tech is but I sure hope it's 'there' now. I thought with their acquisition by Microsoft they would have a lot more bodies that could work on it but I think they are still going with their core team on the game. Time is moving very slowly for us Elder Scrolls fans.
I haven't moved in like 10 years, prior to that I moved like 5 times in the space of a couple of years. Moving is a great way to purge, I donated a bunch of stuff the last time I moved but there's still way too much in my storage room!
I really like cooking the things I have figured out how to make but I buy way too much pre-made and frozen meals for my own good. I'm sure your fresh, home-made meals are delicious!! :D
I'm so excited for you to show us all your new set-up at your new pad, I'm sure it's going to be fabulous!
Thanks for making this Blog, I'm so glad we can stay in touch, YouTube or no YouTube! xox πŸ’œ

    3. Hi! Hey, I'm still on You Tube, just haven't been much because of this cold. Just not playing Skyrim. Lots of stuff on my channel that I have recorded that you can watch.
You shouldn't eat so much prepackaged stuff. It's not good, and it's not good for you! What I do is pretty simple for me, only using one day for simple cooking, then having a couple of weeks or frozen food to eat. I cook rather bland, then when I heat stuff up from the freezer I can add this or that to it at that time.
Yes, time has been moving way too slowly for me, concerning the game. That's why I'm quiting it until they decide to do something!! I've played it long enough, even though I've told many different stories with many different characters.
Wow, I know what you mean about purging! It seems like I get rid of a lot of stuff every time I move. I always think 'Why do I have this! Why did I keep this! I don't need this!!" LOL Then I move and start "accumulating" STUFF again!! lol
Yes, I be making lots of little Vlogs after I get moved.
      Later,
      Shirley

I always try to do that whenever I've had to move and it has helped me some. I'm sorry you are not looking the anniversary edition. I've been enjoying alot of the things in it over all. No, I have found simply a very good 'leap' from the Special Edition of Skyrim, which I've had for years, to the AE. Not enough to be exited over. I hope the coming ES6 will make me happy! After such a long wait!! That's disappointing there is a bug in there. Can you tell me a short bit about something new in there that you enjoyed? Might make me look around more.

Most of the anniversary stuff I've enjoyed. Just frustrated over the bug from one of the quests. All the others have seemed to work well for me though. I did all the quests for all the new houses. My favorites of those are the pirate ship, the bloodchill manor vampire house, & the necromancer house. I also enjoyed getting all the pets especially the fox and the bone wolf from the necromancer quest. I still have more to do. My boyfriend did the whole tribunal line and it looked really cool. I'm currently on the new redguard quest. I'll have to look up the name. I hope you are starting to feel better. There has been alot of crud & bad allergens too around this year. I'm happy to continue checking out the blog &I'll try to look up some of the quest names for you I really liked & let you know. It's way past my bed time at the moment lol <3

  22. Hi Grandma! If I'm being honest I completely agree with you regarding the Anniversary Edition of Skyrim. In my experience it felt very shallow and boring. I'm perfectly happy to stick with vanilla Skyrim. And I also just wanted to say I really loved your story called 'The Majestic Dragon'. I didn't stay with vanilla though, I've been playing the SE game, Special Edition for years, which is better.. I think by that I mean.. the graphics are better, better stuff in it etc. or I might be dreaming, but I've had that edition for years.

This cold is lingering on way too long!
LOL! I hope you can get your work done while watch my stuff!!
I will be sharing more stories, general talk, snippets of stories, etc.
I love that dragon, which is a bookend and extremely heavy! I only bought one because it was very expensive, but I just use it as a cool thing to sit there on the shelf!! :)
I hope I will be seeing you more on here!!!

    1. Hi Pvt Idaho!!! No I've not had much fun lately! lol
You know, I don't think I'm anxiously waiting for ES6 anymore!! I've waited for so long, and they don't seem to care about how long everyone's been waiting!! I am totally not interested in a space game from them!! And by now, I'm not much interested in anything!
I think I'm going to enjoy spending time on my Blog. I found it was way too much trouble to try to make a new one, so sticking with this old one is good. Besides, I've got a lot of good stuff everyone can read back through! lol Even a couple of little short stories.
Well, I hope to see you again, here!

  25. And we have lift off! Finally able to comment!
How lovely to get a little insight into your collection and where they have found their home.
So, now that you are easing off Elder Scrolls a little, I'm curious what you will be doing instead/what occupies you these days? I've no doubt that writing takes a lot of headspace during the day!

Do you enjoy cooking? What kind of things do you cook/enjoy eating?

Thinking of reading/writing, I am a writer myself, would you be up for reading any of my short stories? Not online, just for yourself. They are fantasy and dark fantasy. Is there anything in particular that you don't like reading/stay away from? Not that there is anything heinous in my stories lol but would be good to know!

I have been getting a fair bit of work recently as a voice actor (I used to be a professional ballet dancer but nowadays I'm an actor, voice actor, and a writer), and have been loving exploring different worlds, including Baldur's Gate 3 (a computer D&D game), in which I have voiced a number of characters including a very adorable dog called Scratch. Its lovely isn't it how we all find our little joys in other worlds - I think its like living lots of different lifetimes, its so freeing! I bet you find that when you write about Dorkly. I remember how emotional you were when reading the Listener's story at the end.

Really enjoyed this blog entry :) So please do continue!

    1. What a lovely long message! Haha I was so stressed out that I couldn't message - there's something quite nice about being able to communicate this way (via this blog).
I don't think anybody likes being sick lol, but I am still sending healing thoughts - just so rotten isn't it when you don't feel like doing anything!
Yeah, I haven't found anything that quite matches up to Skyrim either, also considering how expensive games are nowadays I sometimes begrudge spending money on a game that I play for 5 minutes and then decide against. But I am currently going through a phase of point and click games, strangely, and just focussing on the story (but this is even harder I think cus its easier to get bored lol). Also I'm enjoying exploring games made by independent developers (which do tend to be more scaled back of course).
Its so nice how YouTube and its community has helped you to find your writing spirit again! And yes, dreaming in bed is absolutely a great time for thoughts to brew, its almost as if they grow in the air above the bed lol (though do you write it down before you sleep? Are you ever worried that you'll forget what you thought about the next morning?) Do you ever find inspirations from Skyrim's world eeking into Dorkly's? Or have you been able to completely separate the two?
I do understand re cooking - I think people either "Eat to live" or "Live to eat" haha. I am definitely a "Live to eat" person - I LOVE food lol, but I also find when I'm on my own I get bored with it haha. I made my partner a strawberry cheesecake last night for his birthday, and am doing a mac'n'cheese tonight, but I really love vegetables and fresh food. I think batch cooking is the best way though, do you then find yourself eating the same thing for weeks? Or do you switch it up between meals? I don't get canned or microwave meals either. When you're living with your family, will that change anything, do you think? Do you think you'll all be eating together a lot or are you planning on still living quite independently? It'll be nice to be with family I bet :)
Excellent to know what you like reading - they're largely a kind of dark fantasy - I will print it out then and send it over to you! I live in the UK so it will take a little while lol to get to you but something to look forward to :)
YES! I loved the Listener! I've been a longtime lurker lol, takes a while sometimes for me to pluck up the courage to comment (especially because I get so annoyed lol by the short "hi grandma" messages and I wanted to message when I had something to say), but when I got more comfortable with messaging its been lovely chatting with you! The Listener was really beautiful, and I think (although publishing it would have been lovely) that the novel being in the form of your video entries is really nice, because you are so attached to the writing and emotionally connected, I think it was lovely to see your creativity and get lost in your storytelling, as a reader as well as a writer :)
Yes! Being a voice actor is definitely fun! I do audiobooks, radio dramas, video games (as well as theatre and screen of course). I just love being able to bring the world in someone's head to life! I think similarly to in gaming, how I like to explore the world and give it the time it deserves (I don't enjoy gamers who rush through a game, especially on YouTube), voice acting is a lovely way to spend real time with characters and do them justice. Lol, in Baldur's Gate 3, one of the characters I play is an adorable dog called Scratch, and it is so nice to spend the time with him, and see how that just adds more depth and detail to the world :)

    2. Yes! I love ballet as an artform (it takes a lot of work to make it look easy!), but I have always been in pursuit of how to tell a story in the best way. And I've discovered working as an actor and writer allows me to do that more so than in ballet (also I found the competition in ballet companies is not very healthy a lot of the time). Like some stories I feel can only be told in an immersive world (like a game), so how lovely to be able to be a part of that!! I still dance a little from time to time though :)
      Well, until next time! xxxx

    3. Hey Shaun, with 'point and click' games I'm bored just by the name!!!! I would never play those!!
I dream up plots and stuff for stories but I never bother myself by writing anything down then, just drift on off to sleep! lol I remember it all.
I think I completely separate Dorkly from Skyrim.
I don't eat the same thing over and over. I cook up all kinds of things, so after they are put in individual serving containers and frozen, I can pick me out this and that for a meal and it's always different.
Where I will be living is attached to there house. But there is a short hallway in-between with a door. I will have my own front door and a back patio.
I am so glad when people tell me they enjoyed the book I wrote and read to you all .. The Listener.. I'm afraid that I have to say, and I don't mean to be egotistical, that I love it!!
I'm glad to know that you are enjoying you voice acting!! Also that you don't like rushing through a game. All these guys who only do quest after quest or do 'speed' runs, I don't even give the time of day! I wouldn't watch them if I never got to watch another video!!
Thank you so much for talking to me, and will be looking forward to hearing from you in my next Blog. One is comeing, I promise!! LOL

  26. Wow did it take a while for me to get all my information all updated for this account, haha. And google has been frustrating me with it too.

That dragon head bookend looks way too cool. It reminds me of this book I saw someone created to resemble the creatures in Lord of the Rings. And it appeared that they were coming out of the side of the book. I think it was meant to be a bookend too, or just a fun thing to sit in along with the books.

I hope you feel better real soon.

That bookend is very cool. It's hard waiting for the next Elder Scrolls. I think my family and I will have to schedule Xbox time when it comes out as we will all want to play!

It's late autumn here in New Zealand. I'm heading out soon for a walk in the forest. There won't be much autumn foliage though as many of our native plants are evergreen. But I may see some mushrooms! :)

  29. Well, Grandma, it's me, Clarence again. Not much to say but my 25th birthday is coming up and it's not that I refuse to celebrate my birthday but it's been real hard with all my blood grandparents gone. The only gift I want is for you to reach out to me for my birthday like you've done for other grandkids. I'm on Discord too BTW and I know you're not posting on sundays that's when my birthday is May 21 and it lands on A SUNDAY. I do see why though, my guess is you go to Church on Sundays too, but i know you post on Wednesdays so it would mean a lot to me if you post Happy birthday to me on May 17. I usually celebrate my birthday on the 17th in honor of my late Grandma Minnie which you remind me of so if you could do that, that's the only gift I want. Thanks Grandma.

That is a really nice tradition you started in honor of your grandmother!!!
I have a Discord channel but I never seem to get there!! Also just deleted my Twitter channel. I have FB but I never go there either. You'll just catch me here and on my YouTube channel. Yes, I go to Church on Sundays.. except not with this cold... but that seemed like the best day to have a rest day from anything on my pc. :)
I just made a post to myself about your birthday and suck it on my computer in front of me!!
      Hope you come back!!

All I'm just going to do come the 21st is get my haircut after church and then go home, Grandma. Not interested in celebrating. The greeting is the only gift I want and to hear from my adoptive grandparents. I may get back on Discord too.

I hope you feel better from the cold and that your packing goes well. I've been watching your content for a while and think you're very cool.

What is your favourite brand of bbq sauce?

    1. Hello Dracyan! Hmmm...There are so many brands of BB Sauce on the shelf at the store!!! I very seldom use it and I just "pick one up". I never know even what I've got.
I don't know if it's a 'super power'.. to me it would be.. it would be to fly! Not just the fact of flying but the way things below would look, freely, from 'up there'. lol hope that answers your questions well enough. Hope you get what I mean about flying! :) Hope I see you again here, Dracyan!!

  38. Hello there Shirley!
I'm so glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. Hope things continue to improve! It's been a bit of a tough few months for me as I lost my Dad very suddenly back in March. Many years ago, he helped create an animated comedy television series called "The Treacle People". In the last few months before he passed away, I was lucky enough to get to work with him on remastering the series to be released on YouTube. He never got to see it go out, but I've been doing my best to promote the series and carry on releasing it every Saturday in his memory. I wonder if you'd be at all interested in giving it a watch? It's quite wholesome and gentle and full of lots of silly jokes. Absolutely no pressure if it's not your sort of thing, but if you do happen to enjoy it, it'd mean a great deal to me if you could possibly tell some of your followers about it, as you so kindly did with Lonely Worlds? Here's a link if you'd like to give it a try: https://youtu.be/TXn3ZER85zI
Also, I always meant to post you a signed copy of the book as a thank you for reading it. Do you still have a PO box I could send it to?

  40. Hi Shirley! Great to see another blog post!
If you're moving, will you still have a nice outdoorsy space to make those relaxing patio vlogs? Anyway, I'm assuming your son lives in the same area that you currently live in, since he's been over there helping with the live streams a few times. For a moment I was hoping you'd get to go back to the place you said you loved (was it Arizona? It was a warm place I think!). But I guess not. Still, good luck moving when the time comes! I look forward to you showing off the new display places for books and cool stuff!

  47. Hey Submarine!!
Glad you stopped by! The way I cook ALL the time.. which makes it nice for when you're sick also.. Is one-day cooking and about 2 weeks of eating! :) I spend one day, which is actually not constantly busy, with the cooking.. meat in my crock pot various veggies in pans on my 4 burner stove. Rest in between, spoon stuff out into individual serving containers, let set to cool off, continue cooking more and different veggies, spooning them out to cool. When all is cooked and cooled fasten tops on the serving size contains .. having put meat in individual containers also.. and store in the freezer. Makes a enough for at least 2 weeks. I pick out each day a meat, veggie and starch (potatoe, noodles etc) I can mix up my plate anyway I want each day.. unthawing and heating up in the microwave. I don't buy or eat canned food or prepackaged frozen dinners. Also that way I don't use recipes. I cook with a little salt. When I'm ready to eat something.. before the Microwave part.. I add whatever I desire, so every thing is always tasty.
I think that I might be feeling better today. Every time I say that, I feel worse the next day though LOL

    1. Hi grandma!
I wanted to write to update you a bit on the food situation. I gave meal prepping a try and I came up with a half decent chicken, rice and veggie casserole (no salt!) which is now sitting frozen in my freezer, I took one of the tupperwares out for work today and I think it'll be good enough.

I hope you're feeling better - for real - this time around, having one of those on and off colds is very draining.

And I know that all of those empty "I love you s" don't mean much to you, but I genuinely like your content. How's that? I'm enjoying this blog format a lot, way more than the youtube comments section. People are writing all sorts of interesting messages, you have a lovely community and I'm proud to be a part of it. Glad to meet you all!

Yeah, when I delete all the 'riff raff' out of my comment section on my videos, it really leaves the nice viewers!!

I'm glad you will be enjoying this Blog!! I'll keep looking for you!

  48. Hey grandma Shirley! I'm about to head to the grocery store, I do sort of the same thing you do with cooking up a few meals and throwing them in the freezer for later. It can be so hard to cook for one person and not have leftovers, I'm glad I like to eat leftovers lol. I usually end up taking them to eat at work or having them for a quick dinner after my 12 hour shift. I'm glad you're starting to feel a bit better from your cold, and I hope you feel even better now than when you originally posted this a couple days ago. I'll miss seeing you play new Skyrim games but we've always got all your old videos to watch and rewatch. I am also irritated they're taking so long for ES6 and I won't be buying the space game. even if I was interested, which I'm not, lol, I wouldn't buy it on principle because I want ES6!
Hope you're feeling better every day,
    Brittany

  49. Hi Brittany!! I wouldn't buy the space game on principle either!! LOL
With my little individual servings that I freeze enables me not to have any leftovers, which is another good reason for cooking that way.
I wish you could pick me up some bananas! LOL That's what I'm always running out of.
I really am not feeling better. It just seems to keep going on and on! The same with other members of my family too!
    Thanks for being here!!! :)

  50. Hello hello! 😁
What a lovely post this is! Love the pictures, especially 😊

It's a mighty good thing to pack ahead, in small parts... altough I find I usually end up doing most of the packing/cleaning stuff in a day or two, from dawn till dusk, after which I feel like a warrior returning from the battlefield, worn and parched, but victorious nevertheless πŸ˜†

Happy to hear you're feeling better and that you're kitchen-ready again - that is indeed a practical measure of one's health, lol 😁
And oooh, are those sweet rolls you made yourself?! 😯😯😯 They look AMAZING!

The dragon-skull bookend is simply fabulous, totally understand why you bought it 😁
(Are you looking forward to putting all your goodies and loot in new places at your new home? 😊)

It was nice out today, so I 'manned up' and washed a window or two - and because I listened to a Dungeons and Dragons session while doing it, I forgot I had salty crackers in the oven and burned them, aghhh πŸ₯΄πŸ˜‘πŸ˜œ
    Ah well.
A lesson for future me: multitasking is a dangerous thing 😁

Hope you had a lovely day today! 😊

    1. Oh my God Hervissa, you always make me laugh!! I'm so glad you're here!!
Those Sweet Rolls are the same as in Skyrim!! I baked them my little 'ole self, from my Skyrim cookbook! They were GOOD!!
Oh, I hate packing, but I do enjoy unpacking and deciding where I want everything to go, in a new place. I will have fun at that!! I will actually have a computer room (not in the living room!!!). I can hardly wait to put stuff in there!!!! I will be showing my 'goings on' a lot on here as I move!!
I busted out laughing (which I often do reading what you write lol) when I read about your salty crackers in the oven!!! I mainly laughed because TODAY I put put carrots in a pot on the stove and then sat down at the computer (which I should NEVER do when cooking!!) and forgot completely about them, until I heard it boiling all over my stove!!! LOL
Yes, Multitasking is a dangerous thing... that sounds like a cool title for a story... Hmmmm....

  51. Hello Grandma, I am happy you started writing on your blog again, it feels simpler to talk to you here. The pictures are wonderful and the sweet rolls are watering my mouth. I was watching a vlog of yours where you talked about Hogwards Legacy and how expensive it is and how this is preventing gamers (especially young people that don't really have the financial resources) from enjoying these games and I was wondering whether you ever sent an article to that magazine From Gamers and what it was about. I remember you wanted to write one. Hope you are feeling better with your cold and happy spring (hopefully its not cold and rainy like here in Romania). Take care and pa-pa! (this is Bye-bye in Romanian).

  52. Hi Ale! Those rolls were so good!... even if I did bake them!! LOL
No, I don't think I did send an article to that magazine. That was quite awhile back.
I still have this awful cold, so does my family. I don't feel too good!
But someday it will be over... keeping fingers crossed!! LOL
Right now it is getting dark and my patio door is open and it feels so nice!! I think Spring has finally made it! It has taken it's time!! lol
