Cool Dragon Cups!!

 Good morning all you wonderful people!!! 

Today I will show you some Dragon cups and what I am doing!

First...   this is a couple of Dragon cups which I have:

Yesterday my daughter-in-law went to the pottery to paint.  I took a Dragon cup which I had purchased there and have been working on.  I think I finally got the dragon finished!   

The next time I go back there I will be painting the cup itself black,  as these two are.   Then I'll fire it. When I have it at home I will take a picture of the 'finished' cup and show it to you.  I probably should have waited to make this Blog until that was done so I would have it to show now but I'm too excited to wait!! LOL

Okay...   here is the cup I've been working on.....

When he gets fired he will be so pretty!!  Can't wait to get him finished and bring him back home!

They have some other cups with Dragons on them in various positions  which I plan on buying and painting. It will make for a really cool collection.  Maybe I can get rid of all my OTHER  collections of cups and just use these!   

I hope that won't cause me any pain!...  can't you just see a little dragon slipping up out of the coffee and nipping me on the tongue!!!... Ouch!!...  LOL

Eventually I think they will make a cool collection. When I next show you a picture of the finished cup,  I will take pictures of their other Dragon cups and show them to you in that Blog.

 Good morning all my Grandkids!

The weather is so beautiful today.. my patio doors are open..  sunshine but sort of cool fresh air!  Feeling good today!!  lol

 Well, the maintenance men are going to start taking out patio doors from the apartments and replacing them with new ones!!  

They seem to have started with the ones across the hall from me,  (I just looked out and talked with the lady across the hall :)  ) So now there is going to be a lot of noise going one.  No videos being made for awhile I would suppose.. maybe work one in late in the day.

When that section comes out here, my apartment will wind up full of flies and wasps!! They shall go wherever they want in all the rooms!!  There won't be anything I can do about it and I so wish this had started  AFTER I move in a a couple of months!!!!

Speaking of which,   I will be moving over to the 'in-law' apartment attached to my sons house in a couple of months or so.  It's going to be so much nicer!!

Here are some of the boxes I already have packed,  things I won't need out which can just sit there until the time comes,  whenever my sons through doing what all he wants to do in the apartment.

See that chest sitting on top of a couple of boxes?  I have all the small chests that were sitting on a shelf in one of the book cases packed within, so they are all together.

Don't have anything else of interest to show you or talk about today..  so..  I guess that's it. lol

It is so wonderful outside that maybe I will sit out on the patio and either write chapters in Dorkly's story or read a book....

Cool Carvings Made By My Friend!!

 Good morning Everyone!!

Been busy and took me awhile to make another Blog!

Today my whole interest is about my friend in Germany, "BlackPanther77"  or by name: Sylwia.

In her spare time she makes small wood carvings,  which I admire so very much!  She's really good in my opinion!!!

She has sent me many pictures of her work over the years that I've known her,  which I have enjoyed so much!!

This is the first thing of hers that she sent to me,  several years ago.  I sat these old men on my small writing desk, and got my son to cut me this piece of old wood to set behind these two fishermen.

This is where they have lived ever since.

Can't you just imagine two old men, standing on a wharf in front of an old fishing shack,  one buddy just watching his friend fish, hands stuck deep into his pockets, puffing on that pipe?!  I just love these two guys!!  You know they are best friends,  and someone's grandpa's!!!  

I often watch them when I'm doing anything at that desk, and imagine conversations between them, hearing there casual, rough voices, mumbling around their pipes. They talk about their past life,  their kids, their grandkids.. but short sentences,  long pauses in between, just being content out there looking over the bay.   I actually make up these conversations for them in my head!!

Just recently Sylwia sent me a picture of her latest carving!!  I love it so much that I have been begging her to send it to me!!!  I will gladly, happily, joyfully pay the postage on it!!!!!!

Isn't this marvelous?!!!  I hope you can click on it and enlarge it!!! Just a face emerging out of this gnarly wood,  not totally 'out'  but partially hidden within.  I want this so badly!!!  

To me he is someone, maybe a Wizard, who has locked himself away in a mystical place, eyes closed, casting spell after spell to look after his people;   or an old mythical god keeping control over his world;   or maybe my own God in the heavens watching out for those of His kingdom.

Whatever this would represent,  it's beyond us,  mythical or heavenly.. broad in scope, yet hidden.

Can you imagine him suddenly,   or maybe slowly,  opening his eyes?  I imagine that scene often as he looks at me and speaks in a soft, low voice..  leaving me some bit of knowledge or wisdom.

I want him in my home so badly!!!

"Adventuring With My Spidie"

" Hello My Grandkids!

You wanted me to show the stuff inside all my chests, but it's too much, and some was just for me and not to be read etc.

So, today I'm going to tell you a little story instead! "

                         

                      Adventuring With My Spidie

As Spidie and I were out adventuring, we came to a dark opening in a large rock at the base of a mountain. "Oooh... that looks spooky",  I said, as I looked down at Spidie.  He chirped and squiggled a bit to let me know that he was ready for anything! As always! I had to laugh at him!

We walked into the dark opening and followed a short, dimly lit passage. It soon opened into a small cave which was covered with sparkling, tiny, blue lights. They looked like jewels imbedded in the rock!!  I took out my pick axe and tried to chip out some of them.. but weirdly I could not!  I looked around.  Maybe it was a  magical place?  I heard Spidie's clicking little feet on the stone and gravily floor as he was looking around at stuff.

I walked over to him, "What did you find Spidie?" I asked.  He was standing before a table and trying to see what was on it. He would look up at me and click-clack and then look back at the table.  So I picked him up and we both looked at the treasure.  And it was treasure!  There were several golden coins dropped casually onto the table,  a small, guttering candle and an old looking chest. It was dirty, with a few cobwebs attached and one hinge on the lid practically falling off! When I opened it, inside was a skull!  It had a small knife still sticking into it's eye socket!!  Spidie squealed and jumped out of my arms and ran, clacking, to the other side of the cavern!! To my chagrin I wasn't far behind him!!

We looked at each other , then hurried on to an opening into another, cramped passage. We then entered a small room which we both could hardly get into! The only think in the room was a large chest. "Well Spidie,  maybe this one has some REAL treasure in it! Spidie made a quick clicking which I didn't know if it was,   'open it!'  or 'let's leave!'!! But I felt like this might be something good!!

I carefully lifted the lid which thankfully wasn't locked, and was immediately hit by spears coming out of the doorway!! Thank goodness Spidie was down on the floor! I wasn't hurt as I had on full armor, thank goodness, but it had knocked me to the floor.  Spidie and I looked each other in the eyes, and I said, "This is going to be good,  I just know it!!"  We both looked at the chest,  and I hauled myself up and we walked over to it, his little feet clicking and clacking.

He stood up on his back legs and gripped the edge and I did the same.  We peered inside and there was enough gold and jewels to buy anything we ever could want!! We looked at each other and I gasped while he chirped! I think we were both a little giddy!!  Spidie helped me find some old leather bags and I scooped up all that I could carry.  "Let's get out of here Spidie.  I will buy us a nice home, cool clothes... Spidie squeeked in astonishment.. "well, clothes for me," I laughed.

There was a door out of that room that took us back outside. We left with our treasure and headed for our new life, with me singing and Spidie chirping and dancing!!

Didn't Forget To Come Back!!

 Well good morning everyone!

I am still not feeling well,  I guess this is going to go on forever,  with me and my family!!  I think I'm going to quit mentioning it and let everyone pretend, with me, that I'm okay!!  lol

The main thing that I wanted to show you is all my chests people have sent to me. This morning I rearranged them all on two shelves in a bookcase and I think it looks good.   Enjoy!!  If anyone sends me more,  that would be cool!!  LOL  All of them have something or other inside.

Today I think I'm having the desire to make a proper video (instead of just my vlogs I've been making since I've been sick).  I shall make another book reading by my old, retired Dragonborn.. The Monk.  I will look in his library and find a book for him to read.  That will be uploaded to it's usual place on Monday morning.

Yesterday I also finished writing another chapter in my book about my young Wizard,  Dorkly. I will read that today in a video and upload it for it's usual spot on Friday morning.   I am enjoying writing this book so  much!  I never realized it could be such fun,  but what makes that?... reading it to all you viewers and getting comments back!!!  Thank you so much!!

Once Again I Try the Vlog!! LOL

 Well good morning everyone! I hope I will keep at this better than the last one or two times I've tried.  I'm going to see how many people read what I said about doing this, and come here, and leave a comment.

I wanted to tell you guys,  that I have found that I don't really enjoy the Anniversary Edition of Skyrim.  Another reason which made me decide just to simply QUIT playing it until ES6  EVER comes out.

Enough about that.  I will be moving over into the "In-Law apartment that is attached to my son's house, I guess by the end of the year.  During this time I might start gradually packing stuff,  here and there,  so it won't be so hard for me later on. I might start with packing all my wonderful little goodies that my wonderful viewers sent me,  that are filling up my two bookshelves.

On to other things.  Today I will probably need to do some cooking, before what food I have in the frig goes bad.  I cook up stuff, put it in several small containers and put it all in the freezer.  I have been too sick with this cold to eat hardly anything and too sick to stand up and cook!  So now that I'm starting to feel like I'm on the mend,  I'd better be working on various things like that.

Oh, something to show you.  I don't know if I have shown this on my YouTube channel or not,  like in a vlog where I usually show gifts, 'cause I bought this bad boy for myself!! I wish I had bought two so I could use them as bookends... which is what it is.

Well.. since this is the start of something 'on going', I believe  I've rambled enough for now,  so I will see you all later...  I PROMISE  (If not then you can all get on me!!)  LOL
