Babysitting Luigi

This is Saturday and I am babysitting my granddog, Luigi.  He is longing for his Mommie though, but they won't be back until tonight.  So, I have him all day.  We will go outside when he has to go,  and to play if we get the chance. Meaning, if the day is free of rain.

Here are a few pictures of the sweetie!!

It looks like nap time here!

This picture must be a few years older because he looks thinner than he does now!

But here in this picture he is playing "King of the Hill" LOL

It's getting close to me wanting a snack.. like crackers and cheese...  He will probably want something too. I have his own food and I have snacks for him.  He can't eat  a snack off my food!

Well that's all for this time.

Probably later on we will both be running around outside in the wet grass!! LOL

See you all next time... Bye!!!

Shirley

Hi grandmom! Hope you're doing well!

Great to see Luigi, I hope you two have fun today! I've always been a big fan of his little moustache haha. How old is he now? He looks super sweet.

Grapes and cheese sound great. I just had some really good watermelon... and beef jerky hahaha.

    1. Hello Maverick! Well, watermelon sounds good too, and I have some in my frig. Luigi is several years old but I don't remember how many. :) When his "human parents" get home this evening I will ask them! :)

  2. Does Luigi like wet grass? :) Sounds like fun and pretty busy day for you! I am going to have a snack too and decided to check you blog and here we are :) We have a snow already, but not too cold yet and yesterday I had a nice walk in the snowy woods. A crisp air could be pleasant since I am not bored with winter yet :)

    1. Hi my friend! Glad you stopped by! Luigi usually prances around in the wet grass and snow, but today he really got to running. He had fun even though it 'pooped' me out!!! LOL
I'm not a fan of cold weather or of snow. I wouldn't get out in it and take walks. lol But, I'm glad when others enjoy it. :)

    3. He is always ready to have fun. You wouldn't think he is 7 years old! :)

  3. Luigi has the cutest little face ever! He always looks so proud, in posture and expression both. Like a tiny lion. How old is he?

  4. Hi Jema! My granddog, Luigi, is six years old. He will be 7 near the end of Dec. When they want to take a picture he always looks like he knows what's happening and he poses. lol

  5. Luigi is one of the most adorable dogs I've ever seen Grandma. He obviously knows who's boss (Himself lol). To this day it still astounds me that Luigi, Pugs and other small dogs are the same species as Great Danes!

  7. Omg yes cracker and cheese are the best! Haha and some wine to make it fancy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we just rescued a little kitten from inside a pipe this past Sunday night!! We were leaving church in the evening, it's in the city (Columbus) and we heard a lot of meowing. It took us a while because the pipe was bolted to the ground and the kitten wouldn't come close enough for us to grab! We eventually were able to pry it up enough to catch him. He's so tiny!!! But he seems healthy! It's kinda funny because last year in November we saved a kitten off the street too, but he was soooo sick he couldn't even open his eyes. My boyfriend named him Algebro because he is a math tutor omg.. I just call him Al hahaha. But then he was diagnosed with a deadly disease called FIP and the vet told us we needed to put him down asap. But I'm glad we didn't listen because there is a cure now and we were fortunate enough to get him help, and he survived!!! I'm trying to raise awareness now :) I made him a Facebook page! So, he might have a little brother now! Haha. We are getting the kitten checked out at the vet next week! 🀞

    1. OMG!! Thank you D for telling us your story!! That is so great that you saved the kitten your vet said to put down. That's awesome! Now you saved another one! Would you tell us where or the name of the page you created for you cats?? I hope I asked that question correctly lol

    2. Of course thanks for the recognition Grandma! His Facebook page is "Algebro FIP Survivor" and his Instagram is "Algebrothecat." He had wet FIP and almost died twice since we rescued him off the street, but he made it! I also have a connection for anyone who might need help getting treatment for their own cat if they get this diagnosis, so anyone can feel free to reach out! πŸ’• There's definitely hope. The vet said the treatment is still experimental so they aren't allowed to use it. They usually just say to put the cat down...Al is a very lucky boy. He even has muscles now πŸ˜‚ I've never seen a cat with such muscle! πŸ’ͺ

    4. Thank you! I also set up a YouTube channel for him but I only have a few shorts on there so far. I'm working on a video that explains his story! (Channel is AlgeBro FIP Survivor) :) I'm just trying to keep everyone updated so they can see cats can survive FIP! And also as a "thank you" because the foster cat house who helped us set up a fundraiser to help pay for his treatment, and they said the best way to say thank you to everyone who donated is to keep them updated! :)

  8. I'm taking my dog out as I'm viewing this blog, Grandma. I've been so busy with work that I didn't see this until now. BTW, didn't you work at a retail store too?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I worked at K-Mart and after I retired I worked awhile at a Dime Store (remember those?) lol When I was really young, probably in my teens, I worked in a Dime Store and a Clothing Store.. That's all of those kind I can think of. :)

  10. Please tell Luigi he is looking downright dashing! 🀩
Such a fine lad he is, I bet he's your favourite grandchild 😜😁😁

Haha, doggies always want our snacks, don't they? The grass is always greener on the other side and whatever the human has is surely always tastier than whatever's in the bowl πŸ˜†πŸ˜

Hope you managed to go out that day after all, two legends walking the neighbourhood! 😊😁

(One of our dogs is an old lady now, with pills to take for her heart - and, picky eater that she is ans always has been, she will only eat those when they're hidden in finely cooked chicken meat! πŸ˜…)

Say hi to Luigi, please, and give him a belly rub from me when you next see him! ♥️😁

    1. Hi Hervissa!! Yep, Luigi is my sweet granddog, ... I never see my other grandkids.. far away.. My dogs that I use to have were big dogs.. Shepherds, and Boxer-mixes. Yep, they got old too. So sad! I think that's how we all give our dogs pills, is to hide it in bit of food. lol
I'll give Luigi some love for you!! lol

    1. Hi Brad! Thanks for coming by! I can't just walk across the street anymore so it is difficult. I asked my daughter-in-law to bring me there the other day, but she drove through the pick-up-window for me to get my meds.! Sometime back I was in there and asked about you because I couldn't find you, and the young boy at check outs said you was sick. I certainly hope it didn't last long!! I don't know when I can talk her into bring me there long enough that I can come inside, and then I won't know if you'll be there. I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving also, and a Merry Christmas!!

  13. Luigi is a cutie, and he knows it! lol

    I'm bummed that I can't adopt a dog... Landlord won't allow.
We're hoping to move to a bigger house soon, with a garden. Hopefully we can adopt then! I have a fondness for German shepherds, they're just so loyal, intelligent and sweet...

  14. Hi Ana!!! Oh I loved my German Shepherd and the big dogs which came after. They all lived to old age. Love big dogs.. but I love Luigi as my granddog!!! lol

  15. Aww he’s so cute! I love seeing pictures of little Luigi. He kind of looks like an Ewok from Star Wars to me lol I don’t know if you know what that is but they are those little teddy bear looking creatures.
