I'm Through With Moving!!

Well, first off the moving went quickly.. BUT.. the unpacking has not!  lol   I worked hard at it but was getting so tired I had to slow down.  Today has been a nice relaxing day so I decided to jump on here for a  it.

(I made a video also, which will be up on my channel on Monday!! )

Today I'll see if I can find some interesting or enjoyable pictures to show you..  until I get time to take pictures of my own to show you. :)

You have probably seen all of these pictures of me before!!!  To bad!   LOL   Got to put up something on here so you won't think I'm abandoning you!!  LOL

Sitting in a cafe..

At a bookstore.. this book cover reminded me of      The Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim.

A few years ago when made a video for Halloween!

A few years ago getting my first Covid shot!

Me and my granddog.. Luigi!!!   :)

Okay I guess that's enough!!  lol   I'll be taking some new pictures soon.  Just wanted you to know I was still here,  just busy!  :)

  1. So glad to hear your move went good! Unpacking is always a pain and never fun to do but I hope you're able to take your time and get it all done! Also love all those pictures grandma! Not sure about you but my first covid shot made me feel like I got hit by a train 😂

    1. That shot didn't bother me. And when I did get cover, before that, it was just like a two-day mild cold. I'm finally getting all settled in and mostly all finished unpacking and putting away. What a chore! LOL But the last two days I've been feeling good!!

    2. I got covid even after the 2 shots and I was sick for a week haha you must have a great immune system! 👍 so glad to hear you're settling in and almost done unpacking! Sounds to me like a good rest and some skyrim is needed after all that work!

  2. Glad to hear the moving went smoothly, it's always so ridiculously stressful for me. But one good thing about it is I always get to sort through my most treasured belongings and bring back memories associated with them.
Cute pictures! Looking forward to more. I'm so excited for the Spooky season.
    Much love!

  3. Glad to hear you've made it safe and sound! The pictures are way too cute... love the cardigan in the cafe, it looks super comfy! The skyrim shirt at the bookstore is an awesome shirt, too. :) I've seen Luigi before, but he's super cute with his little moustache. How old is he!!

  5. Hey Shirley!
I remember the bookstore and cafe photos! The barrel table is awesome, I wish I had a cafe like that here. I've always liked themes places with old stuff like barrels, glass floats etc.
And LOL that halloween thing! I can't remember that!! Gosh I missed out haha!
Then there's the covid shot. That brings back memories of getting long sticks poked far up my nose, going into my brain it felt like lol. I hated those sticks. Good thing you followed it up with a cute pic of Luigi, the cutest little buddy ever!

Happy unpacking! Will see you around. :)

    1. Hi Loretta!!! I thought you all knew by now!! lol Fun comment!! I'd hate to still have boxes around from that many years ago, but living in apartments I doubt if I could have anyway!! LOL

    2. You're from the New York area too, Ms. Loretta? I live in NJ.

  7. Hi grandma, Lorena reporting here!

I'm glad to hear the moving went smoothly, the unpacking taking long bit is very relatable. I might have to move before the end of the year and the thought of packing and unpacking everything (as well as getting rid of some things) fills me with infinite dread.

Any moving tips you can share?

  8. I feel for you Lorena!!! LOL No, I don't really have any tips.. that's probably why it took me so long and was so tiring!!! LOL Yeah, I got rid of stuff too, but I still have too much!! :)

  9. Heyyy! 😊
Unpacking can indeed easily be as tiring as putting stuff into boxes; taking it slow is a wise approach 😁
All you really need at the moment are clean bedsheets and a clean PC screen, hehe 😁😁

Oh wow, an archive covid photo!
Reminds me of those pics when the vaccine was first rolled out and the first lucky patients got it amidst the flashing of cameras, making headlines...
(Glad you've dealt with both the vax and the virus well, by the way. A proper sturdy warrior, you are! 😊😁)

Ooh, I remember those Halloween videos with the mask! It was that "one woman show horror game festival" event of yours, hehe 😁😁
I recall I watched those at night and that it was properly creepy - it's so much fun watching you play horror stuff without having to get spooked by playing them myself, lol 😂😁😁

How is Luigi, by the way? 😊
Have you had the chance to go on a walk together yet? I presume he is most pleased that you've moved next door to him and can thus give him a belly rub whenever he desires it...😜😁

Sun has made a surprising return here, so although the mornings are chilly, the afternoons are still blissfully warm - hope you got good weather on your side of the Atlantic, too! 😊

  10. My sentiments exactly, Hervissa, about.. " all you needd".. LOL

Hmmm... so you'd rather watch me get 'spooked' than yourself?....

I haven't been on a walk with him.. one for myself though!... but he wants to come over all the time. :)

On my side, here in Ohio, it sounds just like your weather!! Chilly then warms up.. sunshine.. beautiful weather. I keep forgetting that you are way over there!!! I forget, as I talk to people, that they are all over the world!! I think I have viewers/commenters in just about every country!!!

I am pretty much all settled in and today have to go out and do a but of shopping.. then I'm 'off to the races' with starting to record again. Bought two new mystery games today, to start for Halloween. Am looking forward to starting on them. Besides my MusCATeers series I think I will also start another story in Skyrim to be playing also. I'll be busy!!! :)
    Talk later, Hervissa!!!

  11. Good morning, Grandma. It's me, Clarence again. Just wanted to congratulate you on the move and let you know I've got a new phone now so maybe I'll email you soon? Anyway, I'm off to NYC so I can participate in the SAG-AFTRA strike.

  12. Hi, the move went well and I'm all settled. What in the world is the
    SAG-AFTRA strike??

    1. SAG-AFTRA is an actors' union. I live in New Jersey and I have the passion for becoming an actor, that's why I've joined the strike. Fran Drescher is the president of SAG-AFTRA, by the way, Grandma. The unions are striking because of the lack of equal pay.

  13. Hey Mama Shirley! I can relate to the moving and unpacking! It is nice going to a new place, but the actual packing and unpacking can be a pain. Believe me, I understand that part, having had 2 overseas and several stateside moves from being an AF brat and then active duty.

I would love to know where the café is that has a barrel for a table, it seems like it would be an interesting place to visit. :)

I never saw the videos with the Halloween mask! I'll have to go look for those. Looks rather scary.

I hope you are doing well. I'll get in touch soon so we can see each other. Love to our girl. Barry and Mirage

    1. Next time you get to come see me, I will have found out where that place with the barrels is at and maybe we can go there. :)

  14. I completely missed this post! Good to see everything's all done with the move, they can certainly be very tiring. Did you find you were throwing out a lot of old junk? Everytime I move it seems to be I dig up loads of useless things I never needed lol. And covid seems like such a long time ago now! Certainly glad thats over. And I do hope you and Luigi are doing well. Hope you have a great day Grandma!

  15. Nan Curry, good morning to you and yours!

Had a look in my Discord sidebar last night and I couldn't find our DMs there; I know it's been a while since we've spoken in sustained company, and I rather am sorry I've been as much of a stranger to you as I've managed.

A lot's happened to this Grandcub of yours since we parted ways a number of years back. I know I mentioned my narrative writing work to you- got that started at the beginning of 2013, a little over a decade ago- but I've tossed my linear-writ habit fully into the format.

I've got one novel- science-fiction, and my very first devised and written in the Cyberpunk genre- that's almost met the terminus of first draft, and it's the shortest span I've ever tacked completion to; a little less than eight months' progression from a rough, two-paragraph Thursday Writer's Prompt on a fandom gallery site wherein I'm a veteran poster, to more than 180,000 words and 400+ pages, per LibreOffice's internal measure.

And it wrote itself. It was that easy, like the story was intimate to the telling. You were right, Shirley. Apply my dreams and the storytelling I love to do as a gamer and roleplayer to the technique I've fostered and defined, built up like a tonal talent with a warp reactor at speed apaft to inertial it and opened the throttle like a torn throat, well....the Dragon is fearsome, Nan Curry. Alduin always is, whenever he goes out.

But Mum-Mum, the Dragonborn, didn't just break his back and take his place on Stormthrone, becoming him; I hauled his carcass home to the Old Province and prepped the next three days of stewmeat for the Dawnstar Sanctuary, and it was but the Worldeater who got indigestion.

The novel's title is _Medium_, which will make more sense in the context of the finished product. Or at least I hope so. for I am only a storyteller, and must know the telling. But we all need an audience, a reckoning, no matter how anyone tells their stories and to whom, if even themselves. Reckon can be introspection.

For now, I wanted to make sure I touched base with you, Nan Curry, because this Grandcub- Grandkitten, as you've so kindly called me personally when we speak in company- is very clear about her One Rule, and that is not to be broken by tether or intent. Not forever:

“You might say every one of us is a fiddler on the roof, trying to scratch out a simple tune without breaking her neck. It isn’t easy.”
    -Chaim Topol.

To you and yours, Shirley, be well, be hearty, and be good to each other, and yourselves!

    -Mum-Mum, Breaker of Ceilings.
